5 things not to do during your taper week

If you are coming up or on your taper for your upcoming race, here are some helpful things not to do during your taper.

1. This is not the time to go soft, meaning do no training or minimal amount of training.

2. This is not the time to go hard, meaning do more training than necessary to try to squeeze in more performance gains.

3. Starve yourself to make your race weight.

4. Netflix binge, do not make your brain go mush, its time to focus, focus, and focus.

5. Do you own taper rather than what your coach has planned for you.
